Privacy Policy
Bumper is a trust-first, local-first IDE for working with AI agents. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. “We,” “us,” and “Mojave” mean Mojave Technology Corp, LLC.
1. Product modes
- Local desktop app on your machine. Projects, chats, terminals, and API keys stay on your device by default. We do not receive your Anthropic (or other provider) API keys or your source code when you run Bumper locally.
- Optional cloud workspaces (GitHub sign-in). If you use hosted workspaces, we process account and repository data needed to clone and run your project on our servers for that session.
2. Information we collect
- Account (cloud only). GitHub identity (e.g. username, email associated with the OAuth app) when you sign in.
- Usage & operations (cloud). Server logs needed to operate the service (e.g. request times, errors, workspace lifecycle).
- Communications. If you email us, we keep that correspondence to respond.
- Website. Standard server logs for the marketing site (IP, user agent, path). We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Bumper lander.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not train foundation models on your private project contents.
- We do not require an account to download Bumper for Mac and use it with your own API key.
4. Third-party services
AI model providers (e.g. Anthropic) process prompts and tool results according to their own terms when you use your key (BYOK). GitHub processes OAuth according to GitHub’s policies. Hosting providers process infrastructure logs under their agreements with us.
5. Retention
Local data remains until you delete it. Cloud workspaces and related logs are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and for security, then deleted or anonymized.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a developer tool (transport encryption, access controls on cloud hosts, project path boundaries). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your choices
- Use Bumper fully offline / locally without creating an account.
- Revoke GitHub OAuth access at any time in your GitHub settings.
- Request deletion of cloud account data by contacting us.
8. Children
Bumper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
