# Bumper

> Bumper is a trust-first, local-first IDE for Mac that helps developers see, control, and trust AI agents in their codebase, with live agent graphs, guardrails, background terminals, MCP integrations, and click-to-prompt browser tooling. Built by Mojave Technology Corp, LLC. No signup required for local use; bring your own API key (BYOK).

Bumper is not a general-purpose cloud chat product. It is an agent trust layer: visualize parent agents and sub-agents, apply repo-aware guardrails that compile to `CLAUDE.md`, keep busy terminals findable, wire MCP servers into focused chats, and edit UI from a local preview via click-to-prompt.

Primary audiences: software engineers running AI coding agents (e.g. Claude) who need visibility and control, not another opaque chatbot.
